The National Museum of Women in the Arts, located in Washington, D.C., is the first museum in the world solely dedicated to championing women in the arts. The National Museum of Women in the Arts advocates for better representation of women artists and serves as a vital center for thought leadership, community engagement, and social change. The Georgia Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts is composed of Atlanta critics, curators, artists, arts patrons, and members of arts organization boards. As a committee of the museum, they promote women artists in Georgia to help them achieve national and international recognition.
The Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts and Sciences offers a national multidisciplinary residency program, innovative workshops, and community programs. As the oldest residency program in the South, Hambidge has a long tradition of hosting artists, writers, dancers, musicians, and scientists exploring their creative voices.
