Paper Routes: Women to Watch 2020” at the Museum of Contemporary Art Georgia

Imi Hwangbo will exhibit in “Paper Routes: Women to Watch 2020”, an exhibition of contemporary works on paper organized by the Georgia Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. The exhibition is curated by Michael Rooks of the High Museum, and will take place from January 24 – March 7, 2020 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Georgia.

Ms. Hwangbo is one of five Georgia artists working in paper selected for the MOCA Georgia show. The exhibition will focus on the transformation of paper into complex works of art. “Women to Watch 2020” will demonstrate that paper is not always the overlooked support for drawings, prints, and photographs, but instead an extraordinary medium in and of itself.

“Paper Routes: Women to Watch 2020” at the Museum of Contemporary Art Georgia, 75 Bennett Street, Suite A2, Atlanta, Georgia. Contemporary works on paper by Jerushia Graham, Sanaz Haghani, Imi Hwangbo, Lucha Rodriguez, and Whitney Stansell
